The “Torre del Oro” is a 36 meter high defensive tower next to the Guadalquivir, declared a Historical-Artistic Monument in 1931.
It is made up of 3 bodies built in different periods (1220-1221, S.XIV and 1760) and is called the Gold Tower due to the reflections of its original covering of golden tiles.
Since 1944 it houses a Naval Museum with models, historical documents, engravings, nautical charts and navigation instruments.
